Yesterday Jeremy, Preston, and I took a two-hour road trip to Mt. Rainier National Park. Usually it's not difficult for me to conjure up clever ways to describe the unique day-to-day mini-events our family experiences, but today I can't seem to find any words that will give justice to the beauty and magnificence of this park. The sight of the mountain, never-ending valley views, and crisp Evergreen-scented air was an experience for senses!We hiked about 4 miles through sand, rock and snow...and I loved every minute of it. We even bought a yearly pass as we plan to spend a lot of time at the park. It's very large and we haven't explored but a tiny part of it! I think I might become a fan of this hiking gig after all!

Gorgeous scenery, and how odd to see someone in shorts walking next to snow. Judging by the way Preston seems to be dangling in snow photo, I'm guessing he's out like a light.
I've been a fan on Monqiue's blog for awhile now and just followed her link to your blog. After reading a few of your posts and seeing that you just moved to Seattle, I had to write you a comment. My husband just got a job in Seattle and we're also in the process of moving our family to the city. We have a little girl who is a few months younger than your son.
Anyways, I just wanted to say hi and let you know that I'm glad I found your blog...I got a real kick out of your posts. You are hilarious and Preston is adorable!
